FORCE EVENT — SCENERY GUIDE

What does an event scenery installation crew do?

A scenery installation crew works with elements already defined and supplied for the event. The role covers handling, positioning on site and dismantling within the scope set by production.

That scope should be kept separate from scenic design or fabrication when those activities are not included.

01

1. RECEIVE AND MOVE THE ELEMENTS

Scenery elements need to move from delivery areas to setup zones according to the venue organisation.

02

2. INSTALL TO THE PLANNED LAYOUT

The crew places elements in the areas defined by production and follows the agreed setup sequence.

03

3. COORDINATE WITH OTHER TRADES

Scenery, structure, lighting, video and road crew may share the same spaces, so the schedule should manage those interfaces.

04

4. DISMANTLE AND PREPARE FOR RELOADING

At the end of the operation, elements are removed and prepared for return or reloading according to the agreed scope.
