FORCE EVENT — POWER GUIDE

How do you prepare event power requirements?

Event power should be prepared from the requirements defined by the technical production and an approved distribution plan. Planned sources, equipment to supply, cable routes and work phases all need to be identified.

Electrical operations should be carried out by appropriately qualified personnel under the applicable rules and validations. This guide addresses operational preparation, not electrical design or load calculation.

01

1. IDENTIFY THE PLANNED SOURCES AND DISTRIBUTION

The brief should state the selected power sources and the distribution arrangement already defined by the competent technical leads.

The on-site team then works on setup, operation and dismantling within that validated system.

02

2. LIST THE EQUIPMENT TO BE SUPPLIED

Sound, lighting, video and other technical systems may depend on event power.

Production should consolidate these requirements so the interfaces between trades are known before setup.

03

3. PREPARE ROUTES AND ACCESS

Cable routes, technical areas, access conditions and circulation constraints directly affect on-site organisation.

This information helps coordinate power with structure, road crew and the other teams present.

04

4. INCLUDE POWER IN THE OVERALL SCHEDULE

Power setup must happen at the correct point relative to the technical trades that depend on it.

Dismantling also follows an agreed sequence within the wider technical load-out plan.

KEY POINT

Preparing event power means clarifying the validated system, connected equipment, routes and schedule. Electrical choices and validation remain the responsibility of appropriately qualified professionals.
